Yup, I am now a proud owner of my very own gmail account. I was surprised to get my name (and not some weirdo permutation and combination of the name and numbers, underscores etc.) as my email address which I thought was cool since my name is pretty common in the part of the world that I hail from. And yes, they’re pretty IT savvy as well 
Anyway, back to completing the setting up my own little Gmail

I was even luckier - I’ve got my given name as gmail mailbox.

You mean a@gmail.com. Hmm..I am not sure how cool an idea that is. But, it sure is easy to remember and write!
