I am sorry. I am sad. I am angry. And yes, I did not feel like writing on this all week. What’s the point? In todays United States, facts don’t mean a thing, but opinionated fatheads and their asinine and partisan ranting do. Reality is boring, Reality TV is sexy. Soul mates are so so, Desperate Wives are hot. Intelligent discussion is history, but Intelligent Design is science. Life is important, and yet it seems it isin’t. Every word written, every word spoken is branded as either for President Bush or against President Bush. Do you see a cruel irony here? You’re either a Republican or a Democrat or some punk kid who does not know better.
Americans (or are they African-Americans first?) are suffering, getting robbed, even raped. And yes, they’re even dying. Those are the facts. I don’t care how you look at it or who tells you this story - Mr. O’Reilly or Mr. Rather. That’s the reality. Yet, photo-ops and procrastinated half-assed confession seems to matter the most to these folks who seem to have more excuses in their portfolio than results. And we’re 5 days into this catastrophe and counting 
God Bless America. No, really. I mean it.
