Vice President Cheney’s blatant lies and misstatements from last night

- “Your hometown newspaper has taken to calling you Senator Gone.”
- “Now, in my capacity as vice president, I am the president of Senate, the presiding officer. I’m up in the Senate most Tuesdays when they’re in session.”
- I am seeing you (Senator Edwards) for the first time tonight
- “The senator has got his facts wrong. I have not suggested there’s a connection between Iraq and 9/11.”
- Saddam Hussein having established link with Al Qaeda and George Tenet talking about a 10-year relationship
- “The allies have stepped forward and agreed to reduce and forgive Iraqi debt to the tune of nearly $80 billion, by one estimate.”
- Kerry’s tax-cut rollback would hit 900,000 small businesses.
- Cheney continued to charge that Kerry voted 98 times to raise taxes.
- Cheney charged that Kerry and Edwards oppose the No Child Left Behind education law
I think Don Imus said it best this morning when he said, “The Vice President spent 90 minutes lying.” Tell me about it. 
I think what’s a real shocker to me is that he lied more to be mean towards Senator Kerry and Senator Edwards. I would understand if he would have lied or exaggerated to pump up his and President Bush’s record. Oh well, I guess their record is just beyond repair!
