Support our men and women in uniform = Support President Bush

Fox News: Orrin Hatch Interview Excerpts, 9/21/04 [VERBATIM]Jon: Given Saddam Hussein’s track record, I mean, using gas on his own people, killing hundreds of thousands of people, does that not bother the U.N.?
Hatch: Well, I’m sure it does, but you know, they ought to look at their own resolutions. Saddam Hussein violated every one of them, they just keep throwing resolution after resolution up because they didn’t have the guts to do anything about it and of course we’re not going to get any help from France, China, Russia, even Germany, let’s just be honest about it, but the president has said look, we’re not going to put up with anymore. He also, you know, I think in his speech today, he’s going to talk in terms of calling on the U.N. to be a little more forceful in international peace and international affairs. And not just to fight against aids, poverty, the crisis in Sudan, but to really take advantage of trying to do something in the Middle East to establish
peace and prosperity and democracy in that area, and Iraq is the one place where we might be able to get that done, but keep in mind, for right now, they’re [the terrorists] going to throw everything they can between now and the election to try and elect Kerry. They succeeded in toppling a Spanish regime and now they want to try to topple Bush, so we expect a lot of rough times between now and the election. We just have to hold firm, stand strong and quit bad mouthing what’s going on over there so that our young men and women who are serving don’t lose their faith and heart over there.Jon: Badmouthing what’s going on over there, are you suggesting that Senator Kerry and his critical speech yesterday of the Bush administration policy, are you suggesting that he is in some way not supporting our soldiers?
Hatch: I’m not suggesting it. I’m telling you that’s what is exactly what’s happening here. If you look at what they’re saying on the other side of this equation and this presidential race, they’re consistently saying things that I think undermine our young men and women who are serving over there and i’m getting doggone sick of it and i think everybody in the country is and that’s why Kerry is dropping in the polls.
Using your own words Senator Hatch, it’s me who is really “..getting doggone sick of..” all this nonsense.
