Those that keep critizing Kerry’s “lack of message” or “lack of position” on Iraq: stop already. Iraq is a confused mess and there is NO one-sentence solution or easy way out. To say so (or keeping insisting as such) is irresponsible and delusional.
Also, it misses the point. Kerry’s not responsible for the Iraq mess. Bush is. The question is, if Bush doesn’t have a plan (and he doesn’t), are you telling me that Kerry could possibly be expected to do WORSE than giving Bush another 4 years to keep screwing it up? How could anybody do worse at this point?
Also, for those not-convinced of Kerry voters — the worst mistake people made in 2000 was saying that the two candidates were alike, and that it didn’t matter that much who won. The worst mistake we can make in 2004 is believing that things are so bad that they could not get worse — or that Kerry will not make a difference. Trust me, they can get a LOT worse with Bush still in control.
