Here’s a different perspective on the US Casualties in Iraq War

Well, here we are: Today – September 7th – is the official inflection date marking an identical period both before Saddam Hussein was captured and after he was captured.
That’s right: There were a total of 269 days from the war’s start date of March 19, 2003, and Hussein’s capture on December 13, 2003; there have been 269 days since then, including today…
Before capture: 459 American fatalities (1.71/day)
After capture: 539 American fatalities (2.00/day)….
I can almost hear the Spin Masters saying, “But look at the world of good we’re doing in Iraq. We’re freeing Iraqi people and we are working towards bringing Democracy in Middle East.” To which I say, “Whatever”.
If there was ever an apt place to use the now infamous English word flip-flop, the Administration’s stand on “Why US invaded Iraq?” would definitely qualify as one.

“Whatever”? You are too nice. I would say: “Hahahahahaha!!!!! Is it a joke? It sure sounds like one.”
OK, everyone I know is already voting to Kerry, but I will try some other “unchartered frontiers”. But the optimistic guideline…..that will be the truly difficult part (getting somber by the day).
