..talking about Kerry’s Medals in Vietnam!
We’re less than two months away from one of the most important elections of our time. Who would’ve thought that after such a tumultuous four years which saw 9-11, “Operation Enduring Freedom”, “Operation Iraqi Freedom”, a Republican Presidency practicing “borrow-and-spend” fiscal policy and an Economy whose tantrums have bewildered the smartest pundits in the country, a section of America would still be hung up on “Medals” which was awarded to a 26 year old young Vietnam veteran. Frankly, if I was an American, I would just thank my stars that the country had such 26 year olds back in 1960s who would “..gladly volunteer to serve their country”. In John Kerry’s case, volunteer twice!
Medals or no Medals, young men like these would always be heroes in my eyes. Period!
Come on guys. Instead of knowingly or unknowingly participating in a wasteful character assassination exercise, let’s debate the “real” conservative values that Bush/Cheney ticket would further in their second term. Come to think of it, I am willing to tolerate the occasional partisan and biased commentary of Larry Kudlow and his guests (while substituting for Bob Brinker every Sat. and Sun.) any day over these “others”. Why? Cause he at least tries to make a case for President Bush’s economic plans and policies and how they’re better for this country’s Economy. Now, that is what I call a healthy discussion for this country.
I can only hope that better sense will prevail as Nov. 2nd nears.
