Another example of a “common citizen” speaking out

This is my first post, although I have been reading this blog
for some time. I finally can no longer be quiet, since I have become
alarmed that Kerry is going to let the wild accusations about him by
the Vets and Republicans continue without personally addressing them.To this day people still believe Al Gore boasted that he personally
invented the internet, among many other myths. That is because Gore
never took the time to explain what and why he originally said what he
did. Instead he merely made jokes about it.Kerry must take a few moments in his speeches to personally explain
1) that those war crimes that he is discussing on the Swift boat ads
are not ones that he personally committed, or lied about, but that he
is merely reporting what others told him. Otherwise, the impression has
been deeply made that he is involved. Kerry MUST personally refute this
in words that can easily be passed along.2) Kerry must take a moment to explain to the crowds how Senate
bills are created and voted upon. Bring on stage an actual bill.
Explain how amendments work - and how it is perfectly reasonable to
“vote for something before you vote against it.” He cannot ignore this
allegation. It is an image burned into the psyche already and he cannot
let this go unchallenged. He must take the time to explain to people
outside Washington how these bills are voted upon.3) He must turn the flip-flopper label into a joke - just like
Arnold has done with ‘girly-men’. Make it a positive. For instance, if
Bush was driving his car in one direction and he discovered that he
went off a cliff, would he “flip flop’ and change directions, or would
he “resolutely drive off the cliff. That is what his policies are
doing. Explain that changing one’s mind when new information comes
along is not flip flopping but a wise change in tactics, much like our
military must do in fighting our enemines.That’s enough for now, but I am alarmed that Kerry will merely hope
and wish that the people will not buy into these outrageous allegations
– they bought all the lies about Gore and will do so now. I hope the

Sincere. Eloquent. And another great example of how “web blogs” and the reach of the Internet
is helping “common Americans” actively participate in this years Presidential elections
in ways that would otherwise not have been possible.
