The Real War
Scott Rosenberg’s post on how the Iraq War has distracted us from the real target (Osama) is right on target. Even though I did not vote for President Bush in 2000, I supported the Iraq War based on President Bush’s assertion that he had secret information regarding weapons of mass destruction. President Bush went out on a limb with the Iraq War, and now its clear that it was based on an error.Most centrists like myself are allergic to the Bush-bashing rhetoric which tries to portray the President as evil. But there is no denying he was gravely mistaken. In the corporate world, these would be grounds for termination.

Do you really think we have stopped looking for Osama? That stuff about us being distracted by the Iraq War is crap made up by the liberal press, liberal politicians, and liberal Americans just looking for another angle to try to “bring down” a great President.
You don’t take a massive army and march it through the desert, mountains, and plains looking for a single man on the run. You put people in place. You leave them there. You forget about them. You let them blend in and become part of the “people” there. You let those few soldiers/agents gather intelligence and make contacts. Then when they have something you move-in.
I promise you more then anything President Bush wants Osama.

You really seem to have a lot of respect for this President. While I may not share the same sentiment, I have a lot of respect for individuals who “passionately” believe in something. Way to go, Erik!

Liberal press? Please. Is that the same liberal press that can’t seem to comprehend that this Swiftboat Vet stuff is crap and easily refuted (as it has been by www.dailyhowler.com)? Or is the same liberal press that lambasted Al Gore in 2000 for irrelevant issues or just plain-old made-up stuff?
Bush wants Osama? Then how about this little exercise in opposites:
The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him.

One would think that having in people in place for about 3 years now would have netted us something about Osama. Maybe hes hiding out with the WMD from Iraq?
