Time in-country, how often a man was wounded, how much blood
he shed when he was wounded — it is hurtful that those who served in
Vietnam are being split in so vile a fashion, and that the wounds of
that war are reopened at the instigation of people who avoided serving
at all.
This is nuts. Simply nuts. If my fears are right, then this thing is going to get so vile before Nov. 2nd rolls around that I don’t think it will even matter who won the election. United States of America’s soul would have lost!
Or not. May be, this will be the new face of United States of America. I sure hope not, for the sake of my friends and my family who’ve made this country their home.
