I luv your show although I really think you’re blowing this whole issue of “John Kerry is wishy-washy on the war” out of proportions.

Here’s my humble take on it:

I don’t think that the “Iraq War Resolution” of Oct. 2002 was “straightforward” enough for someone to blindly give it a “thumbs-down” (as Sen. Byrd did) or a “thumbs-up” (as Pres. Bush obviously wanted everyone to do). Any individual who believes otherwise is being disingenuous at best.

I encourage (plead) you to read what John Kerry said on the floor of the Senate in Oct. 2002 before voting for the resolution. To me it shows someone who “seems” genuinely conflicted about many aspects of the resolution but deciding in the end to give the authority to the President because, in the President’s own words, it signaled that “America speaks with one voice”.

I even have a clip of the President’s speech given in Oct 2002 (about his take on the Iraq War Resolution) on my blog along with excerpts from Kerry’s speech:

Btw, is it fair that during this all important election, we seem to be obsessed about Sen. Kerry and whether he’s being wishy-washy, namby-pamby, flippity-floppity. Is Pres. Bush and his decisions not on the table for discussion. As pundits like yourself have said before, “At the end of the day, Nov. 2nd will be more so a referendum on President Bush and his policies (or lack thereof) than about John Kerry”. Every minute that we spend on Kerry and what he “might” or “would” or “could” have done is honestly not a healthy use of our time and should best be left as an exercise for the common voter’s imaginative powers.

It’s high time respected political shows such as yours identified “real” issues affecting American voters and analyzed George Bush’s performance on that. After all, he is running for the same job as well..:-)

One of these days, I will just turn off listening to radio or watching television shows and go back to worrying about my day job. Frankly, most of these shows are painfully un-insightful at best and pathetically partisan at worst.
