Day 6: In Salt Lake City, Utah

We started our return journey today back to Santa Clara, California from Littleton, Colorado. As you may (or may not) know, I have been taking road trips in United States for a few years now. Mostly in and around South West. And I can safely say that what I saw and experienced today was special in many ways. For starters, we decided to drive through the Rockies Mountains on our way back. Needless to say, this was a bit of a risky decision. However, the weather reports looked ok and we decided to go for it. And boy am I greatful that we did. I saw Rockies. And it was stunning. It was awe inspiring. And it was every bit as beautiful as you would think Rockies would be in the middle of winter on a bright and beautiful day. I am sure the pictures would tell a better story than my words. Suffice it to say, I had a blast. And if driving through white snow-draped Rockies was not enough, our journey into Salt Lake City was downright scary. To make a long story short, we got caught in the middle of what seemed like an unending snow storm on I-6. It was dark. Pitch dark. And yes, it was snowing. Snowing cats and dogs, if that phrase even makes sense. The bad news was that we all really did stretch the limits of our respective bladders. The good news: We made it into Salt Lake City safely

Also, here’s a little silly trivia of today’s road trip. We saw a town or exit (or whatever the hell it was) in Colorado called “No Name” and one in Utah, along the Utah-Colorado border, called “Cisco”.

Anyway, here are some pictures…
