Day 1: We are in Days Inn at Flagstaff…

…and yes, I already have my customary speeding ticket. I am not very pleased about it, but then again, anyone who knows me or has lived with me these past few years knows that I do tend to get carried away behind the wheels. I am not very proud of this incident. If anything, it was downright scary. It happened around 9 pm MST somewhere between Kingman and Flagstaff. When will I learn 
On a more positive note, the drive was a good one. We drove a bit over 700 miles! Not bad, eh? For the record, we started around 9:30 am in the morning and ended the day at around 9:30 pm PST (10:30 pm MST). Took a room at Days Inn in Flagstaff. Comes with complimentary Wi-Fi access. Sweet! So, anyways, decided I would take this opportunity to jot down a thing or two about our day. Other than the ticketing incident, I think it was a nice ride. I have to say, driving in a spanking new Toyota Highlander (Hybrid) with in-built GPS navigation system was quite an experience. I promise I will write some more about the advantages of having the GPS thingie some other time. And no, I am not talking about using it to find the nearest upcoming gas station or restaurant.
Oh, and yes, I think I may even have some pictures to share, provided the upload speed of my Wi-Fi connection here allows me to upload them. Anyways, this much for now. More later…
