Regular Blogging vs. Link Blogging vs. Photo Blogging

Ever since I laid my eyes on SBM (Social Bookmark Management) services like del.icio.us and furl, surfing has become far more fun and productive! Almost a year ago, I came across Erik’s Linkblog and was thoroughly impressed by what he was doing. I still am. What services like del.icio.us do is offer links from not just one individual, but thousands of online users on just about every topic under the sun that you can fathom.

So, with that said, which one interests me the most:

Frankly, as much as I would like to do all three, the fact is there will be many times when it would be far more easier for me to share a link (i.e. do Linkblogging) or a photo (i.e. Photoblogging) than to write a detailed blog entry. Does that mean my days as a blogger are over? No, not at all. I will continue to blog as often as my heart desires. However, if you as an end user would rather have a steady access to the “cool” stuff that I am reading about, you would probably be better served by subscribing to my Linkblog as well.

As for del.icio.us, if you still have not taken it for a test-drive, I will encourage you to do it as soon as possible. And if you’d rather read about del.icio.us before diving in, try these blog entries:
