I’m back…

It sure was a wonderful vacation. There were things I had planned on doing during this vacation. Needless to say, I did little of those and instead did the following:
- Sleep: Lots and lots of it actually
- Apartment cleanup: Ended up giving a whole slew of clothes to the Salvation Army, which felt good.
- Shopping (Movies): Bought a few movies for my personal DVD collection.
- Shopping (Music): I had not used iTunes for some time. Got things going again by purchasing new songs from one of my favorite artist.
- Played with SkypeOut: Installed the new Skype 1.0 and tried out its new SkypeOut feature. It works pretty well, although making international calls is not quite stable yet.
- Driving: Aimlessly drove around the Bay Area, something that I tend to enjoy a lot.
- Movies at AMC: Watched Fahrenheit 9/11 and Harold and Kumar…. Yeah, I know. It’s a wierd combination of movies to see.
- Couch Potato: I was not aware that the Democratic National Convention was being held the same week (07/25/2004 to 07/31/2004) that I was on vacation. A fairly liberal guy at heart, I stayed glued to the Unconventional Convention Coverage - Hardball Style at MSNBC. “Extreme makeover” charges from our Republican spin-masters aside, I thought it went very well for the Democrats. Of course, I am biased
This may not seem like a very fruitful way of spending time to many. It probably was not my favorite vacation either. However, I feel rested and I could not have asked for more.
Now, where was I …
