Ladies and Gentleman, we’ve I-M-P-A-C-T!!

Wow! For a background on what this is, read the previous entry. So, did the whole thing go well? You decide. So, what did the gurus at Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Lab at Pasadena, CA, think? As one genlteman said, it was “a smashing success…excuse the pun”. Another one remarked, and I paraphrase: “From tomorrow morning, every employee @ JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) will see our solar system differently”

It was nice to share this historic moment with my parents as we all stayed glued to my IBM Thinkpad’s (T42) 14″ LCD screen connected over Wi-Fi to the live feed of NASA TV. Now, wouldn’t it be cool if millions of miles on the other side of this spectacular collision, an “alien” community suddenly witnessed the same event. And as I write this, they’ve probably convened a team of experts already trying to figure out: “What in the world was all that explosion crap?” Or not. Maybe we’re just all alone in this whole goddamn universe. To which I say, “What a waste of space?”

Anand, I have been “looking” at this post for past two weeks but right now my health is not permitting me to sit for longer period of time and this and the previous post need concentration and a bit of time. So for the time being I am book marking these two posts.:-)
