Looking at where I live using Google Maps (Satellite version) Vs. Microsoft’s Terraserver

Yup, you can literally see the top of my apartment complex in the aerial picture shown by Microsoft’s Terraserver site. Btw, the red arrow literally points at the patio of my apartment. I think Robert Scoble is right when he points out that Microsoft is indeed sitting on a goldmine with such incredible images in its possession. I also like the fact that the Terraserver pictures are dated (in this case 2/27/2004), whereas Google satellite images don’t seem to have a date listed on the site.
As my brother pointed out yesterday, the Google pictures are definitely old as the landscape hardly looks like the one that’s shown above. Anyone who lives in and around Santa Clara, CA, knows what’s missing in the red colored polygon
