Following the money…to India

The 30-share BSE index was up 0.57 per cent at 7,800.61 points, extending a record-breaking rally into an eighth straight session. It has gained 15 per cent since early June and 17.5 per cent this year as foreign funds have pumped $6.8 billion into the stock market since early January.

That works out to an approximate average of 30 million dollars per day! Hmm…in other words, there is a good chance that by the time sun sets today in India, good folks from anywhere-but-India would have pumped in a cool 30 mil dollars into India’s Stock Market. Ofcourse, if you subtract the number of days that were weekends (since I don’t think you can invest on weekends), the average would probably be even higher. W-O-W!

Exciting? Yes. Scary? Yes. Irrational exuberance? A Bubble? If only I knew
