Nice graphics for your next web application or site

Let me confess upfront: I am not a graphics person or a web designer, although I would like to claim that I have a pair of eyes which can differentiate between the good and the bad. At least, I think. Anyway, with a fervent desire to create sites and applications that are visually appealing and yet not too heavy or <blink> tag friendly, I went on a search looking for site(s) which would offer me photos, graphics that I could download, massage and use on my site, legally..

Safe to say that http://www.istockphoto.com/ has been great in this respect and has served my needs pretty well. It’s not free, although it’s not too costly either. And it sure has a very extensive and nice collection.

Do you know any such sites that offer similar service for free? Sure would be nice to know and share.
