I am off..

..for a few days, that is.
Will be taking some time off from active blogging starting this very moment and will be back in business by 07/20/2004 08/01/2004, if not sooner.
Have a few personal, professional and some blog related housekeeping to do.
The uptime of this site may be a bit erratic during this time as I try to add/edit a few things on this site.
Update (07/20/2004 1002 HRS PST):
Things that I am frantically working on during this break:
- complete setting up the server that i own on servermatrix
- move my blog (and a few others) to servermatrix.com
- make a few tweaks, enhancements to the blog framework. like,
- capture the number of reads per blog entry, kinda like this
- write a script that scrapes through my web server logs to find the current number of reads for the various entries.
- research on the various search solutions that I know of - nutch, jsearch, htdig. enhance the current search functionality on this blog
- put some verbiage around the comments section in order to make it more user friendly
- this one is definitely a stretch goal, but i would really like to take wordpress for a serious test-drive and decide once and for all if I want to make the move from MT to WP
- i also must do my homework before continuing to write on some of things that I really want to write about:
- setting up java development environment
- writing on ww2, spring, ibatis, sitemesh, appfuse lite
- advanced email platform using postfix
- internet adoption across the globe
- Catch up on some much needed rest before the start of the new fiscal year @ Cisco
- Finally go see Spiderman 2! Yup, I am one of the few who still has not seen it, especially after my excitement at the time when it was released.
Suffice it to say that my blogging frequency will be seriously curtailed during this time. The way I see it, I can either write about stuff others do or I can write about stuff that I do. I’d rather be prepared to do the latter. And that’s what all this is about. Wish me luck!
