I salute you! Btw, here's a touching little paragraph written after this launch which I came across today (07/27/2005) and decided I had to include in my post:

I watched the launch of the space shuttle yesterday and it brought a wave of nostalgia. It is still a very exciting thing to see a rocket ship blast off. I remembered (vaguely) a time when our entire nation was focused on space flight. I'll never forget being awoken in the middle of the night, as a five year old, so that I could watch Neil Armstrong walk on the moon. <b>We need more moments like that and more national goals that we can all rally around</b>. Sadly, it seems to me, such times are truly the stuff of nostalgia.
